Hi all,
It was so lovely to see everyone that attended the luncheon. It's truly amazing - I was getting the heebie jeebies before the event. Then the guests began to arrive and the excitement of being with this amazing group of lace makers - and their art - it all subsided and we had a grand day.
Mother Nature was great - giving us warm and clear weather for everyone's travels. We snacked on pickies, had some libations and of course lunch. I thought it was very tasty and I saw many empty dishes.
I hope that all of you that attended had the opportunity to visit with Lauran. Her presentation about the exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum gave each of us an insight to some non-traditional lace. I feel so blessed to have had her attend. She will be a great friend of NELG!
I took the attendees on a small imagery trip - to the happy place - where you love your lace. After a brief presentation - I showed a movie I made from the many, many pictures I was able to scan and include. There were quite a few giggles and laughs as some of the pictures were over 20 years old! It ended with a video from our past president, Jill. That surprised everyone and they all raised their glasses and toasted her back.
Thank you to each and everyone of you that attended. It is because of YOU that we celebrated our 30th Anniversary, it is because of YOU that lace continues to flourish in New England, and it is because of YOU that we will go out and celebrate lace making.
Love your Lace, thank you for the opportunity to serve you,
Patty
