Program:
Felice Calvano, Professor of Art at Holyoke Community College, will tell us about her current exhibit at Wistariahurst Museum in Holyoke, "Felice Caivano: Women’s Work". The exhibit has several installation pieces composed of lace doilies, each conveying a different message about identity and the role of women, and women's work, in society. The exhibit ends this week so it is a great opportunity to "see" parts of it and hear from the artist herself about her motivation, creative process, and experiences with the lace.
