NELG Monthly Meeting

  • March 16, 2019
  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Joshua Hyde Public Library, Sturbridge, MA

Registration

  • Attendance at monthly meetings is free to members. Newcomers and guests are always welcome!

Registration is closed

The library opens at 10:30 a.m., so please come early to visit with your lace making friends. Please register for this event so we know how many to expect.

Don't forget we have a "Show and Tell" table at each monthly meeting that takes place in Sturbridge.  Members are encouraged to bring a fiber-related project that they have recently finished to show to the group, and to declare some bragging rights!

Program:

This month we will have the opportunity to work on ornaments for the Festival of Trees project. We will be making lace to decorate baubles and bangles.

Lace should be white and/or silver. Baubles and bangles will be provided, and bobbin lace patterns will be available to help you get started. Patterns require between 3 and 12 pairs of bobbins (most use 8 pairs) and are worked with DMC Cordonnet 100 (or equivalent) and a variety of silver threads. Please bring your lace pillow, bobbins and your usual lace making supplies. A variety of threads will be available, but please feel free to bring your own if you have a preferred thread that you like to use.
