Fiber Festival Opened and was busy

I had the opportunity to stop by the Fiber Festival at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield MA this afternoon.  The goodies were plentiful, I picked up some amazing beads and an two skeins of fingering hand dyed merino yarn.  I met the artist that did the dying and lo and behold a re-located Brit!

The NELG booth was staffed by Sharon and Marjorie.  Here's the pics.

We had even more people on Sunday demonstrating. Marjorie and I had a great group of people stop by the booth on Saturday. They ranged from those who claim they could never do it, to a former student of Doris and a couple of gentlemen who work at Storrowton Village where there is a bobbin lace pillow that they did not understand. (Hmm... Maybe an October road trip next year?) Everyone who stopped by was given our web address.

Patty stopped by in the afternoon which was a delightful surprise. She did a great job showing the demo pillow I had brought. At that point I was starting to lose my voice due to the cold I have had. She was well appreciated.

I'm sure we will have the opportunity to return next year. If you haven't gone before, it is a great venue with lots of people who are interested in the fiber arts. And for those who love to spin or knit there is a lot of temptation.
