    That's hilarious! But I do know some teachers who have used toilet paper or paper towel rolls for their beginner classes!

    Me, too. My first lace teacher told of a time that she fashioned a roller from an empty paper towel roll and padded it with a pair of woolen slacks! Determination trumps lack of equipment.
