All Was Done By Handis a one-day event highlighting live demonstrations of textile production by hand.
The textile showcase is one of many events being held in Kingston during 2026 highlighting stories and histories exploring the cultural intricacies of our country's 250-year dynamic yet complicated history. The goal of this event is to bring awareness of the textile work of the period and its contemporary practice.
Volunteers from regional fiber arts guilds will demonstrate weaving, spinning, basketry, quilting, wool processing, lacemaking, beadwork, and other primarily in-home industries/arts/crafts. We will also expand the historical information we presented this past March for the inaugural All Was Done By Hand event.
