This bobbin lace weekend seminar will be held at The Brandon Inn, Brandon, VT with Kitty Mason, one of the UK's leading lace teachers. More information, including cost, is available HERE. Kitty will teach Torchon, Bucks Point, Brugge Flower, Flanders, Paris and Binche. She is also happy to help people develop their own contemporary lace. Complete beginners to lace will also be welcome.
Those who wish to start on the continuous continental laces should begin with Flanders lace, progress to Paris ground before attempting Binche. Although diagrams will be used, students will learn to understand the components of each lace and how the best results are achieved.
For those who are interested, Kitty will work on developing contemporary lace using color and texture tailored to individual abilities and ideas. No advanced skill is required but a spirit of adventure will be an asset!
