LOCATION CHANGE: The meeting will take place at the Sturbridge Federated Church, 8 Maple Street, Sturbridge. This is immediately next to the library. Please enter via the double doors on the Maple Street side of the church. The elevator is immediately ahead of you and the Rainbow Room is on the 2nd floor.

The Rainbow Room is reserved from 10:00am, so please come early to visit with your lace making friends. Please register for this event so we know how many to expect. The business meeting will start promptly at 11:00am.

After the program, please stay and make lace together. This is an opportunity to share our work in progress and to get help from others. Those who are new(er) to lacemaking and need some coaching or advice will be able to sit with a more experienced lace maker for assistance. Please note, this is not intended to be formal teaching, but a way to help less experienced lacemakers.

Program: Learn to tat with NELG members Carolyn Wetzel and Sharon Sacco.

Our program will be "Learn how to tat" presented by NELG members Carolyn Wetzel and Sharon Sacco. If you have struggled to figure out how to tat, this is your chance to learn first-hand from two experienced tatters. Additionally, for more advanced tatters, we will show how to make a 3-dimensional rose motif using split rings.

For materials, please bring a smooth thread size 10-40. For beginners, two colors are helpful, and larger threads are preferred.  Some thread will also be provided for use.  Tatting shuttles are recommended, although there will be something to tat with even if you don’t have a shuttle.  Scissors and a small crochet hook can be useful.

We will bring some tatting examples as well as some modern books for inspiration.
