This is a two-day event. We are planning to meet at Old Sturbridge Village where we will have a brief business meeting on Saturday followed by lace making (demonstrating) for OSV guests as part of their “Crafts Weekend”.
Demonstrating: The event runs from 9:30 to 5:00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Participants can drive right up to the demonstration location to drop off equipment from 8:30am to 9:15am, otherwise carts and some helpers will be available to help transport equipment. Park in the main lot and enter through either the security area or the main entrance, whichever is easier. Lighting and some access to electric outlets will be available. NELG Vice President, Jim Martin, will be on site Saturday morning to assist as needed.
Chairs and a table for display items should be available on site. Food is available at several locations however a visitor at the recent “Redcoats and Rebels” event that was held there mentioned that lines can be long and supplies limited, so you may wish to bring your own.
Regular monthly meeting: The regular monthly meeting will be held on site at OSV (near our demonstration area). People who are not demonstrating but wish to attend the meeting should go to the main entrance between 10:30 and 10:50 (the meeting will start at 11:00). Let the greeter know that you are with NELG and they should let your though without charge. NELG Vice President, Jim Martin, will be at the main entrance during the time listed above to assist as needed.
