The lace center in Le Puy in France has posted pictures from the 2016 Couvige (I am still looking for a translation of the word).  There is a Google page (https://goo.gl/photos/sAaZnvYsF8nEE96x6) with lots of photos as well as a slide show on their home page (http://www.ladentelledupuy.com/).  There is a large variety of lace here and well worth the time to explore.  Enjoy!

I have gotten news that the summer issue of the IOLI bulletin has been delayed due to health issues.  The editor is now working with the publisher to get it out, so I would expect that it should show up soon.

I saw a comment on the White Thread blog from Vetty Creations on lace in the closing ceremonies of the Rio Olympics.  Having watched some of the Olympics, I wish I had watched the closing ceremonies, if only to see the lace connection.  Here is a link to the item on the blog: http://vettycreations.com.au/white-threads/2016/08/23/lacemaking-in-the-rio-olympics-closing-ceremony/

    Enjoy!

Got the following message from Marni's husband after I saw that her biker friends had made her a quilt from their tee-shirts.

Marni had a very serious bike accident back in October 2015 and fractured her skull. She has been in Rehabilitation ever since. Her biking friends made the quilt for her as a get well present. This is her husband Phil.
