Sad news

I am sad to report that Jeanne Goodwin has passed away.  I knew her from NELG meetings as well as some demonstrations.  Despite her illness, she showed a strength of life that went beyond her condition.  I remember her as a positive person who did her best and frequently volunteered for NELG.

My greatest condolences go to her family.  She is a great loss, and I will always remember her well.

    That is indeed sad news. As it happened I encountered a friend of hers at the CT Sheep and Wool Festival last week. The friend said that Jeannie was not doing well and promised to bring to her our NELG greetings when she saw her. I hope that she was able to see Jeanne before she died. Jeanne did beautiful work, in lace and other crafts. She seemed determined to bring as much beauty to the world as she could. Happy lacing in heaven, Jeanne.

      I helped her with a pattern before I moved. She loved lacemaking. She was pleasant to work with and she will be missed. Doris S.

    So sorry to hear this. Jeanne was a sweet person, and we have missed seeing her lately.
