Filming went well - it was the fastest 30 minutes ever! It was a fun interview. I met with Gary, the host, before filming to go over some of the questions, what to do and not do, where to look and where not to look, sound check with the microphone, notes on good TV and not good TV. Met with the director to go over the slides they had selected to use. Mind you, I sent a mere 70 pictures so they could determine what they wanted to use. There is plenty of preparation time before, during, and after for the studio crew! It's interesting to be working for a project that will not be shown until next month. No instant gratification here!
The current format is an hour show - two 30 minute segments. It is a conversation with the host - the camera is the audience looking in. They kicked off the first segment - for me it was wait; those 30 minutes seemed even longer. Not due to the first guest- she was great and has a great book to read. It was the anticipation of how it would go. I had rehearsed the questions submitted, sought out more information and council of another lace friend.
I was in the second segment. The crew liked the segment and said it went quick and well. I did get to look at the post production film, it was pretty good. It will be up to the lace community to let the station know they liked the segment. We could get to produce additional segments.... the future will tell.
Thanks to the crew at NCTV for a great job. Thanks to the individuals that helped me. This episode will be aired on NCTV.org beginning in May.
