Registration is closed
Once again, we have been invited to demonstrate at Old Sturbridge Village at their Festival of New England Makers

If you are interested in attending, please register on the NELG website for either Saturday, Sunday, or both.

The event runs from 9:30 to 5:00 on both Saturday and Sunday.  Demonstrators can drive right up to the demonstration location to drop off equipment from 8:00am to 9:15am.  The vehicle entrance is located at the back of the main parking lot alongside the blue security building.  After 9:30am you may handcart equipment in by way of the visitor entrance.

Park in the main lot close to security or in the Mashapaug lot directly behind the Security building.  To access the Mashapaug lot use the driveway on the right of the Security building.  It is a short walk from either of these lots to the event site.  Vehicles will again be allowed on the grounds after 5:00 pm both days, but must be off the site by 5:30 pm.

Chairs and a table for display items will be available on site.  Food is available at several locations; however lines can be long and supplies limited, so you may wish to bring your own.  Window light and some access to electric outlets will be available (bringing battery powered lights or an extension cord is recommended).  NELG Vice President, Jim Martin, will be on site both Saturday and Sunday to assist as needed.  If you have any questions, please contact our Vice President at nelgprograms@gmail.com

From the OSV website:

“At this celebration of artisans across the centuries, the Village’s talented craftspeople and interpreters will showcase trades from the 19th century and today. Join the blacksmith, potter, tinner, cooper, printer, and others as they explore more challenging items created by artisans of the time period, joined by other practitioners of historic craft as well as modern-day artisans from across New England. From fiber arts to metal work, experience “handmade” from the past and the present.”
