We have been invited to demonstrate lacemaking at the Community Day at Arrowhead Museum (the home of Herman Melville) in Pittsfield, MA on Saturday, September 28 between 10am and 4pm. It's a pretty low-key event featuring demonstrations by craftspeople, activities with other local museums, kids' activities, musicians throughout the day, food trucks, etc.
It's a fun event in that it brings out a lot of the "usual" museum crowd, but also brings in people from the city and surrounding area who are new.
