We just published our February issue and  newsletter and is now posted on the Newsletter page in the Members section.  Thanks to our Editor Gail MacLean - and by the way - great job once again! To get to the Newsletter page, you'll need to be a member.  If you are - Login --- if not, consider signing in and becoming a member of NELG.

Lots of great information about the activities of the organization.  Demo's at Webs and at lots of places, news about upcoming Retreat, and programs galour at the monthly meeting in Sturbridge.  News about this website and the possibilities of expanding it's use to help all lace lovers.

As the snow or 'whatever' continues to plague New England, at least we all have our lace.  Hope to see you at Sturbridge on February 19th.  See the Events Page for more information on our program.

What better way to welcome in a new month.  Here in the Northeast of the U.S. we are in the midst of yet another snow storm with a snow and ice punch to this two day event.  We may crest some 60" of snow since Christmas.   I found this quote to start of my month.

To be really happy and really safe, one ought to have at least two or three hobbies, and they must all be real."
    Winston Churchill

This quotes says it about lace makers.  Some of us are avid creators, others are weekend "cross twisters".  Then there are our collectors, bloggers, retailers, and researchers.  However you embrace lace making, we welcome you to the New England Lace Group.

Our new site is just launched and our "wouldn't it be nice" list looks like a honey do list!  We anticipate  rolling out more features over the next several months to assist our members in their enjoyment of lace.

Off to watch the flakes fly, Enjoy!

Every day we can make lace can be a joy.  What has been an absolute joy for me, is hearing from so many members about the new site.

A Big Thank You to all of you that have logged in so far and to those of you lurking in the internet.

Keep sending your thoughts and tips and improvements.   We appreciate it all!

    Thanks again!

    Thanks Jill,

You made it all happen and tonight, just back from the weekend, I too entered our web address and we are now here!

I'm so impressed that over 30 members have already signed on to the site already! Let's hear from you!

Today is a very exciting day for Patty and I; the new website is now live!  It is very thrilling to type in the web address and see the results of all our hard work now accessible to ANYONE on the internet!

We look forward to receiving comments (both good and bad!) from our members.  Please be sure to let us know if links don't work, documents don't load or if anything else is not working as expected.

Thank you to the officers and friends who have taken the time to begin the testing of our new site.

In just a few days, the re-direction will be to our WA site from the old site.  So far the response has been positive.  Jill is compiling a list of additional enhancements.  Between the two of us, it has been so much fun, we are seeing more and wanting to get new "stuff" for our site.

This is truly a great step forward for everyone associated with NELG!

Some of us have the ATC envelope with the card and mystery threads from the meeting this past Saturday.

I won't spoil the fun and tell you about them.  Though, if you are looking for more inspirations check out the web site http://www.artist-trading-cards.ch/ and a simple Google search for artist trading cards will supply hundreds of images for inspiration.

    Good Luck to you all!

It has been quite a privilege to we working with all the members at NELG.  Sometime around Jan 2009 I volunteered to scan the prior newsletters. So almost two years later, today I've been scanning the Newsletters from the absolute beginning of time into a digital format.

You'll need to be a member to see the newsletters, and it is so worth a membership.  Our organization has done so much to further the knowledge of members, to bring lots and lots of demonstrations to the public, get the 'paperwork' of the organization done, and, most importantly, love to make lace.

It's been eye opening to see all these great members that have brought us up today.  Big thanks to those that have gone before me, I appreciate all your efforts.

What a great meeting we had yesterday in Sturbridge.  Our business meeting was short and sweet, lots covered.  This website is being tested as I type away.

Big Congratulations to Carolyn Wetzel - her article on the Napoleon Bee will be published in Piecework sometime this spring!

Big Congratulations to Jeanne Goodwin - she received her Master Crocheter status from Crochet Guild of America!  Kudos to Jeanne.  I'm looking forward to seeing her sample book at studio this week.

New member Erin, from Cambridge came to the meeting.  She's a great tatter - hmmm sounds like another meeting topic to set up.  Welcome Erin!

This meeting's session was hosted by our own Bryce Wolf - Thanks to Bryce - she gave us plently of information, helpful techniques, and projects to make with those pesty metallic threads we all 'love' so much.

All in all - if you couldn't make the meeting - we hope to see you next month.  February will be a slide show and a door prize??  More information to come.

Wishing you great health, great fun, and great lace,

It is truly a big step for NELG.  First set of comments have come in and changes are being updated as they arrive.

There's been some opps spelling errors, some grammer, suggestions that are already in place.

Big thanks in advance to those that are testing and clicking and reading the site.  It takes quite a bit to get it ready.  While we understand that additional items will continue to be updated, remember we wish to have this site bring great value to our members!

If you'd like to make a comment, then join our group!  It is fun and inspiring.
