A “Thank you” from Old Sturbridge Village

The following email was sent to us by the Director of Public Events at Old Sturbridge Village:

I just wanted to take a moment to send all of you a big thank you for our inaugural Craft: Beer and Trades at Old Sturbridge Village.  I just came from a wrap up meeting with our upper management and they asked me to pass along their thanks as well.  From all standpoints we considered the event a great success and hope you enjoyed being a part of it as much we enjoyed hosting it.  I heard nothing but positive comments from our guests regarding the event and a large percentage made it a point to tell me that we need to do this again,  Our social media has been on fire about the event as well and we certainly seem to have hit a chord that resonated with our guests. So with that being said I am pleased to tell you that we plan on offering and expanding  this event in 2016.  I will be in touch  with invitations early in the year but for now please save the date of September  10 & 11 for our second annual Craft event.   Again , I can’t thank you enough for helping us make this unique event so special.  I couldn’t have done it without you.

I think that many of us often emphasize the idea of promoting NELG or lace when we demonstrate. While it is an important aspect of our demonstrating, this note also shows that additionally, we help other organizations when we demonstrate at their events. I am always glad to help.

While I enjoyed Plimoth Plantation this year as much as last year, the thing that I liked about OSV was being in the middle of the re-enactment! How cool to have a stagecoach outside your door and jump to the firing of a flintlock rifle!
