It was recently posted on Arachne that Anova Books, the company that owns the Batsford imprint, are about to add the Read & Kincaid books to their Print on Demand service and also make them available as ebooks. The planned schedule is

Milanese Lace: An Introduction - July
New Braids and Designs in Milanese Lace - August
50 New Milanese Patterns - December

This is great news for all fans of Milanese lace!

I am so happy to see that the old Batsford lace books are starting to be reprinted. They are so valuable. I have also noticed that Bridget Cook's Practical Skills in Bobbin Lace is available at Amazon on Kindle. I would prefer that my lace books didn't become part of my investment strategy as the used book dealers would like. Those books need to be affordable so they can be used.

Although I usually prefer to have reference books in a physical format, having books like these on Kindle will be a great advantage for those who don't want to schlep their entire lace book library to a class.
