ahhh Winann....thank you for the kind words. Our lace are the stars, I'm here to bring it out to the public, have the public appreciate our work, our history, our space!

That was one of the fastest 30 minutes I have watched. I enjoyed it. I would love to be demonstrating when the host finds his way to the lace exhibit at the Big E this year.

Rita, much thanks for taking time to watch the show. LOL you are not the only lace maker that has requested Gary to "come on back". I heard from a lace maker from BC Canada - she thought he was great! I need to be sure when he does attend, I bring a camera from the studio and take some video! We can have an update! Thanks again

Well done Patty! You looked so relaxed. I recognized a lot of lace that had been made by our members.

Thank you Jill! I was pacing the hallway before we started to wear off some of the jitteries LOL! The weight of the lace community was weighing on my shoulders. I sent them 70 pictures - all organized by topics so they could pick. I had your Big E mat in that group - alas the show was only 30 minutes! I used many of my pictures because of the story they represent, not just lace, but here in CT (hence name of show - Common Sense Connecticut). They picked so we had "good TV".

I would agree with all the other comments. What I loved was the emphasis that lace is still active. While it is good to preserve the past, this is not just reproducing museum pieces. Thanks for promoting this.

Great insight Sharon, and this was my pleasure. Now I'll see how the lace community responds. Then it is onwards and upwards. Hopefully "we" can inspire others throughout the community to speak about and show the lace!

Patty, what a wonderful interview! You did a great job and looked beautiful in the process.
    The fabric of life, indeed!
It was also cool to be able to recognize the pieces and know the artist.
Will look forward to seeing Gary's visit to the Big E.

Thank you Gail.... especially since your pieces were loved by the director. I was tickled that I had a pic of the bookmark in process and then the final finished piece. Nice to give Creative Arts the nod in the process also! By the way, Gary is getting a bit of a following in the lace community, hmmm :)

Hey Carolyn - thanks for watching! It was fun, little nerve racking, and spread the word - can't wait to see our "views" of which all have been internet. The show will be shown in Newington in another week or so here in town. So we shall see :) On to new installments of making lace and telling the public all about them.
